Yes! We are proud to announce our partnership with Stichting Kinderpostzegels Nederland. Stichting Kinderpostzegels is a Dutch organisation working to support the development of vulnerable children, wherever they are in the world. Almost every Dutch person will feel nostalgic when they remember selling Kinderpostzegel stamps as a child, or buying the stamps (and other cool products nowadays) from their neighbourhood kids who participate in the highly-appreciated campaign with their schools every September.
Each year, around 160,000 kids (aged 10 to 12) from 4,000 schools and 8,000 school classes go door-to-door, selling products to help other children. That spirit is reflected in the charity’s motto “For children by children.” With their effort, and the social skills they develop while selling products, Dutch children are making a great impact. They contribute to Kinderpostzegels' 2017 mission: “A safe home for every child.”
More fun and easy
This year, aFrogleap is joining the digital transformation of Stichting Kinderpostzegels as a strategic, creative, and development partner. Together, we ran a Product Design Sprint to explore how we could make the selling process more fun for kids and way easier for buyers at the door. We tested a prototype app with real users, and we received feedback full of curiosity and enthusiasm.
Why did Kinderpostzegels choose to work with us? We asked Hans Vermathen, Kinderpostzegel's innovation and process improvement manager:
"Stichting Kinderpostzegels has chosen aFrogleap because of their knowledge, expertise, and demonstrated track record, for example with their First Aid app for the Red Cross. Both aFrogleap’s vision of the future and how mobile applications fit in, as well as their knowledge and experience in app development have contributed to this decision. And last but not least, their pleasant and pro-active communication style. App development with aFrogleap gives Stichting Kinderpostzegels the opportunity to move the 'Kinderpostzegelactie' into the 21st century."
We’re now working full force to make this transition happen. Soon, there will be an iOS and Android version of the Kinderpostzegels app to support the kids and teachers who will join this year's Kinderpostzegels campaign in September. Exciting right? To be continued...
