Mud relates to frogs as a warm blanket relates to people: a second skin — nice and warm — to make it through the winter. So, guess what we do to hibernate…? Exactly, we are looking for MUD!

As most people think, bootcamp training is tough, and primarily intended for marines, army boys…and now also for us! Since the beginning of this year we are being ‘drilled’, voluntarily, to make ourselves ready for next Sunday’s Mud Masters. A 12K run, supposedly a muddy one (but HOW muddy we don’t know yet), with tons of obstacles, some definitely doable and others slightly trickier with an electrical touch… For sure that roasted frog legs won’t be anyone’s favorite.

Our Mud Team, 13 people strong, including 2 power women☺. As for tomorrow night, we have our final bootcamp session given by Mink ‘The Trainer’. What this training looks like? From jumping jacks to jumping benches. Any object around us can be usefully deployed. Pushing up, pulling down. Sitting up to keep our heart rates up. But hey, let’s do it all again! The whole sequence of exercises. Time’s set, and go! And that’s just the warming up…

Ups and downs, you experience it all in one hour. One moment you feel strong and you go, then later, you feel so slow! Squating like frogs, sprinting like jaguars. And don’t forget our beloved burpees, planking positions and spiderman moves… All these power exercises alternated by running rounds. The result? Limbs like spaghetti, muscles like stone. And yes, we still do this voluntarily, to get in shape. And to grow as a team! We are ready!
