I don't know how this applies to you, but I "see the wood for the trees" when it comes to movies (or in Dutch, "door de bomen het bos niet meer zien"). Great movies keep on coming and I hardly keep track of what to watch. I often find myself in situations in which I am sitting on the coach, ready for a movie, but without inspiration. If this sounds familiar, then our app suggestion of this week might just be something you need. Especially now that rainy days and early dark evenings make us spend more time at home. Let's 'watch more movies' with the Sofa app for iOS and make it easy to choose! The Sofa app is quite simple to use, there are only three main tabs — Discover, Search and Watchlist. The first thing I noticed when I was scrolling down to discover the movies in the app, is that they made many different pre-selected lists categorized like you haven't seen it before. The names well-invented and fun. Out of almost 100 lists, you will definitely find a movie theme that suits the mood of the moment. To give you some examples, you can search for movies with 'Cutie wittle doggies', 'Gender benders', or 'Movies for writers'. And if this is too much to sort out, search the normal way by title, actor or director. Find movie synopsis and cast lists (integrated from IMDB) detailed in the app and save your best selection in your watchlist for later.
It's nice to talk about the movies we love, so you can also share those with others via iMessage, Facebook, Twitter, email etc. The Sofa app has a cool interface with some parallax effects which slowly animates the movie posters in your screen. This makes searching for a suitable film a fun experience!
